Hello and welcome to my online portfolio.

Since you have found your way to this website, I would love to tell you a bit about who I am. I will attempt to limit myself to only the most important highlights of my personal experience – a daunting task. I am a native Floridian who calls Orlando home (I’ve bounced around a bit, but it’s where my heart is).

I embarked on my first big life adventure in 2004 when I began my studies at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. An exercise in bravery, I arrived to school on move-in day without ever having visited the campus or knowing a single soul in the state. But oh, how happy I am that I did. I found fields of study that challenged me and inspired my talents: I majored in both English and Communication, with a concentration in Media Studies. I studied everything from sitcoms to Shakespeare and produced short films while simultaneously writing essays which I would later present to large groups of peers and colleagues. The combination of written word and visual media perfectly align with my deepest interests: people, communication, and entertainment.

When I wasn’t hitting the books, I stayed very busy elsewhere: I was the Vice President of Member Development for Pi Beta Phi sorority and on the Executive Board of PREPARE (a policy group on sexual assault awareness and prevention on campus); I participated in the Advertising Club, and was a member of both Sigma Tau Delta (English honor society) and Lambda Pi Eta (Communication honor society). I was also a devoted baby-sitter and restaurant server who is proud to have learned how to earn her keep while developing that elusive life skill: balance.

I spent a semester abroad in London, England – my first time out of the United States and I made sure to hit the ground running. I completed an internship at a prestigious advertising agency while balancing a fifteen-hour courseload focused on Marketing and Public Relations. Learning to travel on a budget, I was also lucky enough to visit Italy, Spain, France, and the Netherlands – in addition to roaming the UK for four months. This time abroad is a portion of my life I will never forget, and is 100% responsible for inspiring my relentless wanderlust and desire to keep moving.

The morning after graduating Magna Cum Laude from Wake Forest in May 2008, I boarded a plane to South Africa to complete a service trip to the township of Kayamandi. I traveled with fellow members of the Wake Forest community to facilitate the Mission of Good Hope, a computer literacy mission to the western cape of South Africa. The people we met and the places we saw have changed me forever and given me a sense of perspective I was absolutely missing until that incomparable adventure came into my life. That previously missing link was filled by an incomparable sense of admiration for the people of that beautiful country, and a one-world mentality which reminds me that a sense of community can stretch well beyond national borders.

My passions, as I’m sure you can deduce by now, include travel, media production, writing, and working with as many new people as possible. I am endlessly fascinated and inspired by the unique ways in which people live their lives, and I crave the exploration of new media and forms of communication.

I lay my head in Clearwater, FL when I am not in motion elsewhere.

So now you’ve got the basics. Check out the work examples throughout my portfolio to get an even better sense of the work I love.

Thanks for checking in.  I would be delighted to hear from you about any other curiosities or comments you may have.  Keep checking back in for updates!
